THE OPERATING SYSTEM

 

 

 

“Ma, until you upgrade this operating system, these features you are asking for can’t be activated” That was my response to one of my clients who brought her laptop to me asking to help, use some features that other systems in the office has, but her laptop doesn’t have it.

Some features are compatible with our gadgets, and with the help of the operating system, we will be able to operate them; what I am saying is this, as technology changes, some new features come with technology. Take for instance, the story I started with, the story of a client, and other colleagues at work, their laptop has features like Bluetooth, which can create a hotspot, and share the internet through the laptop hotspot, it can use some apps without stress, and many more. But for her case, she has the same system, but her system doesn’t have such features.

While troubleshooting, I have to confirm from the office that the operating system in the other system is different from her own, others have taken time to upgrade their operating system to a higher version while hers is still an old version. With the old version, although her laptop has those features, it can’t work, she has to upgrade the operating system on her system to enable her to activate those features her laptop has but was hidden.

As I was ruminating on this event after the work of the day, I heard the Holy Spirit bringing it to my heart that do you know there are some virtues, gifts, talents, abilities, and grace you carry, but it will not be activated if you still remain in your old operating system?

You may not know you have those abilities; you may be seeing others operating in such a realm and you will be thinking its not your thing, or it's not design for you. Let me tell you, there are virtues deposited in you also, it may not find expression if you remain in the old version of yourself.

The operating system here is what I liken to what enables a computer to communicate effectively. As humans, we don’t understand the computer’s language (Machine Language), it is the operating system that serves as the intermediary between humans and machines. The operating system translates our language to machine language and also translates machine language to human language.

However, man operates in this same vein.  Scientist says there is no vacuum in nature, there is a default “operating system” everyone has from birth, you can only act, and react based on this operating system.

Ps 51:5 KJV “Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.”

John 8:44 TPT “You are the offspring of your father, the devil, and you serve your father very well, passionately caring out his desires. He’s been a murderer right from the start! He never stood with the truth, for he’s full of nothing but lies- lying is his native tongue. He is a master of deception and the father of lies!”

The default “Operating System” that comes with every man is what I call the “SIN Operating System”. Whosoever has this O.S. in him is not of God. Fine, such may be doing fine from man’s point of view, but such can’t attain the standard of God. For man to belong to God, Jesus has to come with another type of Operating system which is God’s own, with Sin O.S., you are limited, you can’t have access to God and access things that belong to God.

1 John 3:8 KJV “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”

However, dear reader, for you to have access to those features, grace, abilities, and all God has deposited in you, you need to upgrade your Operating system to that of God.

The Holy Spirit who is the express image of God needs to control you, you need to have a change of heart, for you to do the will of God, for you to know the mind of God, for you to access fully the things God has in mind for you.

Jer 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

 

HOW DO I GET THIS UPGRADE DONE?

Rom 10:6-11 “But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.) But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.”

Confess Jesus with your mouth, believe his death, burial, and resurrection in your heart, then the upgrade is done! The old self, SIN O.S has been formatted, you now have Holy Spirit O.S in you. You are a brand-new being!

Welcome on board!  Matt 11:29-30 “Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light”

The applications you need to download are embedded in your learning of him, you will see that automatically as you learn Christ, new features of you will emerge.

Stop imitating the ideas and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes. Romans 12:2 – TPT

Forgotten Identity

 "In this hot sun, how soon will i get a Keke to take me back to the office? After the stress I am facing here, I still have a lot to catch up with in the office and it's the weekend already, I will have to face the stress on the road again, Kai, this life ehn... I can testify to it that this world is spiritual and there are lot of battles going on, the one we can see or the invincible ones.
