THE SHEPHERD AND HIS SHEEP 1


John 10:1-5 "I tell you the truth, the man who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber. The man who enters by the gate is the shepherd of his sheep. The watchman opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger's voice."
I want to point our attention to something in this passage, and I trust the Holy Spirit to grant us understanding.
There is a difference between Truth and Fact!
Fact may be found anywhere, and may be proven based on evidences, but Truth comes only from God. Not all Facts are Truth!
Jesus is the truth, God will not tell you fact, but the Truth because Truth is life and a personality.
John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
There is this truth we must examine.
There is a good Shepherd who has sheeps. This Shepherd can only look after his own sheep and not all animals. I understand you know Psalm 23:1 by heart the Lord is my Shepherd..... But of a truth is God your Shepherd or it's only a memory verse you had learn from childhood?
Another Truth that is worth noting is that this Shepherd has a pen for his sheep, this pen has a door that every sheep must enter through. You can't enter the sheep pen through other means apart from the door and not be caught. Yes! We have a lot in the fold of the sheep today that they entered through the window, they didn't enter the sheep pen through the door. Many other ways has been sighted in which people enter today. Guess what? You can only fool us here on earth, a time is coming when there will be a check.
Entering through the door is deliberate and it's done consciously. It will be an error of the highest order to believe you were born into this pen of sheep, its not possible that way. Your father might have entered, you must enter consciously by yourself. You can't be born as a Christian! You must deliberately decide to be a Christian, its not what someone can help you or force you do. Going to heaven is not by force, it's by choice.
You might had become an elder or deacon or even Pastor in the church and you have not for once given your life to Jesus Christ, you have always assume you have done that,
Hear this, been a moralist is not equated to been Born Again.
How do I enter through the door?
Romans 10:9-10 If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
Go to God in prayers wherever you are, he will hear you!

 "In this hot sun, how soon will i get a Keke to take me back to the office? After the stress I am facing here, I still have a lot to catch up with in the office and it's the weekend already, I will have to face the stress on the road again, Kai, this life ehn...   PRAYERS INITIATED BY FEAR It is not a new thing to an average human that prayer is a means of fighting spiritual warfare, all religion testify to this. I can testify to it that this world is spiritual and there are lot of battles going on, the one we can see or the invincible ones. There are battles from friends and foes, in the morning, afternoon, evening and night, in the dream, real life experiences. At work, at home, amongst family members, from within the environment and attacks of all sought. Yes, this world is really wicked! I am sure you must have heard if not seen the operations of the wicked ones. However we were enjoyed to intensify our prayers so we can become victorious. It is the survival of the fittest.
