SONS AND DAUGHTER
“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is”.   1John 3:1-2
It is a great privilege to be called sons and daughter of God, infact it is an opportunity  that must not be toiled  with .We lost  the grace of  sonship in the garden of Eden, when Adam &Eve sinned and they lost the chance. It cost the blood of a son to redeem us and restore us back to the post of son. Men ( Sons & daughter) have greater chance before God, God rated us higher than even the angels, that was what Lucifer noticed that made him cry out in psalms 8 : 4 “what is man, that than art mindful of him and the son of man that thou visitest him? ” also in the book of Job 7 : 17  “ What is man , that thou shouldest magnify him? And that thou shouldest set thine heart upon him?” Considering all this its what made John the beloved wrote in hisletter that it’s a manner of love. We do not become sons and daughter of God, automatically there are things to be done to enjoy these benefit and many more, since we are have lost the golden opportunity through our forefathers in the garden. We lost the grace of sonship , the intimacy, and opportunity from creation because of sin. David confess that “ and in sin did my mother conceived me …….”  Psalms 51: 5. So every one had lost this wonderful grace even from birth and we yield to sin the greatest enemy of God. ‘’ Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey, whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? Romans 6: 16. We have all gone our way according to Isaiah 56: 6 and devil our father ( John 8 : 44) . We continued in this state until God deside to  redeem us back to Himself and adopt us as Sons and Daughter. After shedding His blood, paying the price since the agreement of adoption was “…..and without shedding of blood is no remission” Heb 9: 22, He (JESUS) had to pay and adopt us with His blood. After the payment Jesus declared in John 15 : 15, that we are no longer servants but friends (Sons & Daughters). “In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.” Col. 1:14; Eph. 1:7, Col. 1:12-13, Rom. 8:29 further echoes it.
Now that the cost of adoption has been paid, John 1:12 gave the qualification of those qualified to be Sons of God. “but as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believed on His name”.
This is the first step of adoption, believe you are born into sin and you have left the grace of sonship due to sin, be converted according to Acts 3:19 “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.” Repent and Come out of all those things that still make you slave, those friendship, relationship, habits and talks that make you slave. The king is inside of you. 1 Pet. 2:9 says “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light” not a royal slave.
Friends, to enjoy the benefits of sonship that even the angels do not enjoy and the devil is jealous of, “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?  And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?  And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.  Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.  And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” 2 Cor. 6:14-18.

COOKED, BUT NOT DONE!

I boiled a egg sometimes ago, I heated the pot with enough fire, and the water was really boiling. It boiled for some minutes, I went to check and I saw a mark on the egg like it cracked, the white part is showing already. Forgotten Identity

 "In this hot sun, how soon will i get a Keke to take me back to the office? After the stress I am facing here, I still have a lot to catch up with in the office and it's the weekend already, I will have to face the stress on the road again, Kai, this life ehn... " The above words were part of the many things running through my thought, as I was sent on an assignment from my work. Those questions flooded my thoughts at the end of the assignment I was sent to do.  Do you know naturally I shouldn't be bordered with those questions in my thoughts in the first place, the reason being that I was sent on the errand with an office vehicle. I can testify to it that this world is spiritual and there are lot of battles going on, the one we can see or the invincible ones. There are battles from friends and foes, in the morning, afternoon, evening and night, in the dream, real life experiences. At work, at home, amongst family members, from within the environment and attacks of all sought. Yes, this world is really wicked! I am sure you must have heard if not seen the operations of the wicked ones. However we were enjoyed to intensify our prayers so we can become victorious. It is the survival of the fittest.
