MARRIAGE WITHOUT TEAR




INTRODUCTION: Marriage is the ceremony by which a man and a woman becomes husband and wife. This ceremony by which God ordain. Tear is a drop of liquid that flows from the eye during sadness or pain. Weeping is the sign of tear. In this study, we shall look at marriage without weeping or tear.
FACTS ABOUT MARRIAGE:
i.                     It is approved by God –marriage is not bad –Gen. 2:18
ii.                   It is instituted for a purpose – (a) Fellowship (b) Avoid Sin © Child bearing.
iii.                  It may turn to happiness or sadness –Pro. 14:1
iv.                 Is not a competition but a complements – 1 Cor. 11:11
v.                   Its an institution of learning – Matt. 11:29-30, Prov. 12:1;13:18
vi.                 There is only one marriage in heaven – marriage of the lamb Rev. 19:17-19
vii.                Marriage is honorable –Heb. 13:4
viii.              Marriage is till death do us part – 1 Cor. 7:10-11
ix.                 Marriage is one man one woman – 1 Cor. 7:2
x.                   It is a test of leadership – 1 Tim. 3:4-5     
MARRIAGE WITH TEAR: Psalm 11:3, Luke 14:28-31, Matt. 7:24-28. Any marriage that has a sandy foundation will surely end up with tear. The following are sandy foundstion upon which marriage should NOT be built;
1.       Parent Pressure – wait upon the Lord – Isa. 40:31
2.       Anxiety due to old age – keep on doing the will of God – Heb. 10:35-37
3.       Tribalism and racism – Col.3:11
4.       Physical stature – 1 Sam. 16:7
5.       Charm and Beauty – Prov. 31:30
6.       Boyfriend or Girlfriend – Heb. 13:4
7.       Pregnancy before marriage –
8.       Riches and wealth – Prov. 23:4-5
9.       Marriage before Salvation – Matt. 6:33, Prov. 18:22, 1Cor. 5:11, 2Cor. 6:14-18
1.   Voting, balloting or the use of FLEM – Prov. 3:5-6
The following are examples of the marriage that result in tear:
a.       Marriage by force – Gen. 34:1-2
b.      Marriages by trick – Gen. 29:18-24
c.       Marriages by contract – Judges 14:12-20
d.      Marriage by endurance – Gen. 38:13-26
e.      Marriage by Inconvenience – Gen. 26:34-35
MARRIAGE WITHOUT TEAR:  Prov. 10:22
The only marriage that is without tear is the marriage that is built upon Christ the rock- (Matt. 7:24-27) such marriage will have his policy to be “Pay now play later”. For any marriage to succeed there is a price you need to pay.
PLAY NOW PAY LATER: Ecc. 11:9, Luke 15:13, Gen. 25:33-34. By playing now I mean a careless, carefree, sinful, immoral and disobedient living. The prodigal son was one of such. If you engage in deception, prostitution, abortion, violence etc. you are surely going to pay for it later. (Rom. 3:23, Heb. 12:16-17) whatsoever you sow now you must reap later. Gal. 6:7-8
PAY NOW PLAY LATER - Paying now means knowing the Lord, serving Him, Obeying Him, conforming to His Will , resisting the temptation and laying a strong foundation for your future. (1 Sam. 2:12,26; 3:1) God will repay you with promotion, honor, prestige and great usage. Hence you will not weep neither will you shed tear.
STEPS TO PAYING NOW
1.       Serve Him sincerely – Eph. 6:24
2.       Obey Him completely – Rev. 22:14
3.       Trust Him totally – Ps. 37:3-5
4.       Commit to Him whole heatedly
5.       Denounce sin and Satan – Eph. 4:27
6.       Resist youthful temptations – 2 Tim. 2:22
7.       Seek His face continually – 1 Chro. 16:11
HINTS ON MARRIAGE WITHOUT TEAR:
In addition to the above marriage that will end without tear will pass through the period of;
a.       Finding, knowing and doing the will of God in marriage.
b.      Keep His pastor and marriage counselor inform of all steps and revelations
c.       Period of courtship should be without blemish
d.      Journey to marriage should be holy
e.      Marriage day should be dedicated to God
f.        Both parents must give their concept.
CONCLUSION:  for you to avoid tear in your marriage, you must give the Lord the chance to control. To wipe all tear from your marriage, seek counsel from men of God.

 "In this hot sun, how soon will i get a Keke to take me back to the office? I can testify to it that this world is spiritual and there are lot of battles going on, the one we can see or the invincible ones.
