THE BATTLE FOR LIFe

t is obvious that this world is a battle ground, we are to fight even with our last breathe, battle of different types and form and at various level of life. The zeal to win these battles is very high. Do you know that there are two battles to fight? These battles in question are not to be fought using carnal weapon like Gun, Sword, Bomb… then how do we fight these battles?
            “…Your servant was in the thick of the battle when a man showed up and turned over a prisoner to me, saying. ‘Guard this man with your life; if he turns up missing you’ll pay dearly; But I got busy doing one thing after another and the next time I looked he was gone…”- Message Bible.  As I have earlier said, we are born in the midst of a battle. Our parents are fighting theirs, and as we grow we also come into the scene of the battle. The first battle we are fighting is how to become great in life. An adage says’ to become a man is not an easy task’. We fight almost every day to enter into the future we proposed, we study harder in other to become the best in class, we wear neat and good cloth in other to look attractive, we eat good foods in other to have the best look, the list continues. Everything about life is battle. We are so much carried away with these battles that we forget that our Creator, the Lord gave to us a prisoner to watch over. Proverbs 4:23 gave us the picture of that prisoner. “Keep vigilant watch over your heart; that’s where life start”- (Proverbs 4:23 Message Bible). The Lord gave to everyone a heart to vigilantly watch over; it’s the prisoner that is kept in your custody. As you are fighting to become something great in life, the heart that I call your Soul is also there for you to look closely after. It must not escape into the hand of the devil; the devil is readily waiting for you to carelessly release it. The Bible says “Guard this man (Your Soul) with your life; if he turns up missing {when the Lord require it from you} you’ll pay dearly”.

Especially as youth and young ones, the devil as succeeded in turning our eyes to the battles of the life only at the expense of the battle for our soul. He (the devil) got us busy doing one thing after another, he made us so busy having: fun, fame, wealth, beauty, pleasures and even ‘religious’ at the expense of our soul. As Pastor or deacon’s child, we are at greater risk, because the devil has blindfolded us with the battle to enjoy the lust of the eye, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life and he as kept on deceiving us as we let this ‘prisoner’ in our custody escape with the mind that our parents are there to help us. Nobody can help you look after your Soul; you have to look after it your self. Don’t let us forget that “if for any reason he is missing, then your life shall be required for his life” “you’ll pay dearly”- Amp. You can’t just afford to pay the cost for loosing your soul to the devil. “For what shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and loses his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Mark 8:36-37, KJV).

This is the question that must keep on ringing in our hearts daily. Even if I win the battle of life, if I eventually become great in life and I am famous, but in the process lose my soul, what shall I give as ransom?.

My dear reader, it is time to check your self, as you are fighting the battles of life, what of the battle for your soul? Has the devil taken advantage over your soul? It is not too late, because you are still alive, you can quickly come to the Lord, He is always ready to help you before it is too late. This is a battle for life. 

“I will never let the devil win the battle, I will never compromise in me, though he may try me without, though he may try me within, I will never let the devil win”

COOKED, BUT NOT DONE!

I boiled a egg sometimes ago, I heated the pot with enough fire, and the water was really boiling. It boiled for some minutes, I went to check and I saw a mark on the egg like it cracked, the white part is showing already. Forgotten Identity

 "In this hot sun, how soon will i get a Keke to take me back to the office? After the stress I am facing here, I still have a lot to catch up with in the office and it's the weekend already, I will have to face the stress on the road again, Kai, this life ehn... " The above words were part of the many things running through my thought, as I was sent on an assignment from my work. Those questions flooded my thoughts at the end of the assignment I was sent to do.  Do you know naturally I shouldn't be bordered with those questions in my thoughts in the first place, the reason being that I was sent on the errand with an office vehicle.   PRAYERS INITIATED BY FEAR It is not a new thing to an average human that prayer is a means of fighting spiritual warfare, all religion testify to this. I can testify to it that this world is spiritual and there are lot of battles going on, the one we can see or the invincible ones. There are battles from friends and foes, in the morning, afternoon, evening and night, in the dream, real life experiences. At work, at home, amongst family members, from within the environment and attacks of all sought. Yes, this world is really wicked! I am sure you must have heard if not seen the operations of the wicked ones. However we were enjoyed to intensify our prayers so we can become victorious. It is the survival of the fittest.
