THE ATTITUDE OF THE CHRISTIAN YOUTH TOWARDS THE GREAT COMMISSION: -THE CAUSE AND THE WAY OUT

 Introduction; with the trends of events in the world today, the youth of this last days find it an uphill task to fulfill the great commission. Due to many reasons but only few will be discussed.
“… there fore go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and of the son and of the Holy Spirit” Matt. 28:19 the great commission is the last command Jesus gave to (those who accepted Him) his disciples. Since it’s a command, it’s a must to carry it out and it should be done with haste, and the Christian are the pivot in this task and must be a vanguard because of their exuberance. The youth ought to have a positive attitude towards it, but some how there are some factors which are parading themselves in the life of the Christian youth today. There is great competition for their hearts, which however cause lukewarm ness, worldliness and backsliding among the Christian youth.
The Cause:
Ø      Prophecies: (Matt. 24:1-12, 1 Tim. 4:1, 2Tim.3: 1-5). What God has said in time past has started manifesting
Ø      Worldliness :( 1 John 2:15-16). Worldliness which is the lust of the eyes the lust of the eye and the pride of life, and many other passion the world offers kills ones vision for God, and many youth are engage in these.
Ø      Emerging of other gospels :( Gal. 1:6-9, 2 Cor. 2:17). The devil has succeeded in sponsoring many other gospels, and it has gain popularity among the youth today. Gospels like: Prosperity, deliverance and demonology, positive thinking and confession etc. the youth are most vulnerable to these.
Ø      Invention of technology: (Dan. 12:4). The rapid spread of technology at this end time is causing more havoc than good in the lives of the youth. The excitement youth derive from adventures of technology as taken away the love of God from their heart. We have internet frauds, pornography, long and senseless hours of browsing etc. Technology invention has made them loose interests in reading the bible and obeying the great commission.
Since the enemy has succeeded in doing all these for our so called Christian youth, I will like to suggest possible way out of this mess we find ourselves.
ü      Firstly, there should be a call to repentance even among the Christian youth. (Rev. 2:1-5). There must be a total repentance in the heart of the youth. They must return to their first love which they have left like the advice of our Lord Jesus Christ to the Ephesians Church, so the Lord is advising you as a Christian youth to return to your first love of soul winning (the great commission).
ü      A call to revival among the Christian youth (Hosea 10:12). Obviously we can see that the end time revival really needs revival likewise the youth in the church. There should be concerted prayer to God for his visitation among the youth. Revival will tarry else the youth rise to their responsibility and cultivate the abandon fallow ground of the great commission.
ü      Preaching of the Genuine Gospel (1 Cor. 15:1-4, Rom. 7:14-16). The church must return to the preaching of the real Gospel of the kingdom, must and spreading of other gospel must be discourage. The youth must rise to realize their potential of preaching the gospel of the kingdom.
Conclusively, the Christian youth are to play important role in ushering the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ through the preaching the gospel of the kingdom. Matt. 24:14.

 "In this hot sun, how soon will i get a Keke to take me back to the office? After the stress I am facing here, I still have a lot to catch up with in the office and it's the weekend already, I will have to face the stress on the road again, Kai, this life ehn...
