A WORD TO THE SOJOURNERS

A slight degree of
deviation from God’s purpose for your life may become thousands of miles away
from your course. A brief trip into backsliding may actually trip your feet
into bottomless pit of woe and confusion. Sojourning in a far country is due to
the lack of people who will lead or control. Due to the fact that there is famine
now in the land
of Israel i.e. among the
people of God, does not give you the go ahead to leave your territory where you
are secured. Mind you the famine is just for a period of time. Well, if you
insisted in going to sojourn in a place where or among the people God has
course or rejected, then be ready to lose your precious husband and children.(Ruth
1:1-5) there is no account of people that went to sojourn in a deserted
area that comes back full. I tell you the lord will soon visit the land you are
leaving. Agreed that you are already sojourning in another land, coming back
requires a conviction from your side. You must change your location before you
can find the newness of life. (Isa. 1:18-19)
Let
look at an example of a family that did the same in the scripture. The family
of Elimelech (Ruth 1:1-8). Of a truth their sojourning in the land of the
Moabites is not for fun but because of the famine in the land . I just want you
to know that there is something behind the famine. Trace it, may be God wanted
to bring something out of it. The famine may not actually be that of food, it
may be that be that of money, good health, riches etc. mind you these things
are just complement. These things are just to make us live comfortably. There
might be famine of God’s people and God’s word that should not disturb you much
because it is written before that ‘there will be famine of God’s word’. Now
that there is famine, is leaving the land for God’s rejected people (Sinners) the
best solution. Do you even think of loosing your life where you are going,
don’t you think of the end point I mean your eternity. The people you will
mislead is the uppermost, and Jesus foretold us in (Matt. 18:6) “… it is good
for such person not to be born than to mislead these young ones”. The side
effect is of leaving for the sinners’ side is great. So think twice. David that
did so because he wanted to flee from Saul who was after his life loose
everything he had. Also know this there is a royal linage you are
disconnecting. To be candid you are not safe.
However
friend, I see that you are already far from your God just because of famine.
You have mingled yourself with the children of the land; you have because of
the “LITTLE” suffering left your God. You have renounce your heavenly father just
because of that short persecution, have you forgotten that Paul said in ( Romans
8:35) ‘who shall separate us from the love of Christ?...’. You have
left your first love; you have deviated from the truth. You are now been controlled
by your evil desire, self is now ruling you. You have grieved the Holy Spirit
and He has left you, and you now do what is right in your own sight, devil has
now taken the position of God. In other words you have backslided, you have
forgotten to fast what the bible says “ No man, having put his hand to the
plough and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God” (Luke 9:62)
Now what do I do?
: Admit that you are a sinner, you must have a personal conviction that you
have sojourn in a far country, you must take a step of going back home to your
father, He will always receive you. Your decision must be unflinching. You must
be steadfast minded as you go back home because your faith will be tested.
After you have done all these then say these words with me wholeheartedly;
Lord Jesus, I come to you today like
a prodigal son, I accept that I have been sojourning in a far country I accept
that you came to die for me. Lord Jesus, please forgive me I come to you,
please accept me I promise never to sojourn again. Thank you Jesus for
receiving me. (AMEN)
Congratulations!!!,
you are now back to him, He has forgiven you. “But” keep your promise.
And for you that the thought of sojourn has not come to, I want to tell you to
prepare for it. Pressure will come, persecutions will come, just remember
“nothing” and I mean nothing must separate you from the love of Christ. Let
together start calling the sojourners back home before it is too late.
